SCORERS

CRAIG KNOWLES 3 TRIES
DALE BROWN 1 TRY
JASON DODD 1 TRY
SIMON FARRAR 1 TRY
After the winter break Boothtown got their second win of the season with a good team display against relegation rivals Undercliffe.
Boothtown started well putting Undercliffe on the back foot and took an early lead when Jamie Love took the ball from the back of the scrum and handed off the would be tacklers to score. Boothtown then shot themselves in the foot and gifted Undercliffe a try against the run of play for them to level things at 6-6. Boothtown then had a good line as they attacked the Undercliffe defence and Jason Dodd sent Craig Knowles powering in for his first try. Terriers then turned the screw and Dale Brown broke clear from a scrum to score and after a good burst from Dave Love, Craig Knowles finished well for his second try and Terriers led 20-6. Undercliffe scored their second try just before half time but Boothtown had a handy 20-12 lead at half time.
Jason Dodd broke clear in the first minute of the second half and he side stepped the fullback to score and increase the lead. A poor pass gave Undercliffe the chance to score but Jamie Love chased down an Undercliffe break and make a try saving tackle. Undercliffe scored a consolation try before Simon Farrar pinched a try from acting half and Terriers led 32-18. Boothtown then completely dominated their opponents with Wayne Oakes, Ben Mallas and Adam Berry keeping Undercliffe on the back foot for the last 20 minutes and in the dying seconds Craig Knowles completed his hat trick to seal the win. |
