BOOTHTOWN TERRIERS  20  LIVERSEDGE 6
SCORERS
DAVE LOVE TRY
JASON DODD 1 TRY
MICK FIELD 1 TRY
PAUL RAWSON 4 GOALS

Boothtown finally got the win their recent efforts deserved after probably their best full 80 minutes of the season, despite having just 15 men and suffering an horrendous injury on the half hour mark .Terriers started the stronger and it was a surprise when the visitors took the lead with a scrappy converted try on ten minutes for a 6-0 lead. This spurred Boothtown on and veteran prop Dave Love crashed over taking several defenders over with him after good work from Jason Dodd and Andrew Charlesworth, converted by Paul Rawson to level things at 6-6.Terriers were now playing some good rugby with Ben Mallas, Trent Ashton and young Jamie Love to the fore and when Simon Farrar produced a superb chip through on halfway Jason Dodd picked up to go over under the sticks and Paul Rawson converted to make it 12-6. After 30 minutes veteran fullback Andrew Charlesworth suffered an horrendous leg injury which held up the game for half an hour whilst an ambulance was called. When the game was restarted the rest of the half was dominated by defence.
The second half was a bit nip and tuck and there was a good spell for the visitors but ferocious defending led by Dale Brown kept them at bay before Boothtown started to take control, with good field position the crucial score came when Mick field ghosted through the defence for a good individual score and Paul Rawson’s conversion made it 18-6.There was just time for skipper Paul Rawson to kick a penalty with a couple of minutes left for a superb win, with the Terriers forward pack outstanding on the day for a result which lifts them out of the bottom 2 with 2 league games to play.
