How Boothtown lost this game by so much was an injustice but a lack of finishing was Boothtowns undoing as they pummeled the Vics try line and had the majority of the ball in a game played in sub zero conditions.
Jamie Love, Trent Ashton, Dale Brown, Darren Cox and Craig Knowles all held short of the line and Vics scoring two breakaway tries was the story of a first half dominated by Boothtown, but they were 8-0 down at half time.
In the second half Vics came into the game more and through luck and bad refereeing scored another three tries to open up an undeserved 22-0 lead. Jamie Love then scored two tries to get Boothtown on the scoreboard, the first after a good burst from Simon Farrar and the second with a powerful burst down the touchline.
Dale Brown forced his way over for Boothtown’s third try sandwiched between two more Vics tries to put an end to a funny old game.
