Boothtown
got their second win of
the season on the back
of an excellent defensive
display and having a cutting
edge in attack, these
have been missing in the
last few weeks.
Vics
scored a try with the
first attack of the game
after a Boothtown mistake
but Terriers responded
when Craig Knowles made
a break and handed off
the defence to score a
good try, Paul Rawson's
conversion made it 4-6.
Once again another mistake
from the kick off allowed
Vics in again for a try
but from then on Terriers
dominated the rest of
the half, Simon Farrar
and Matt Withers combining
and Matt sent a short
ball to Kris Robinson
who rounded the fullback
to score and Matt Withers
sidestepped over and with
another two Paul Rawson
conversions Boothtown
led 8-18 at the break.
In
the second half Terriers
defence was superb with
captain Paul Rawson leading
from the front along with
Darren Cox and with Simon
Jevons and the Love brothers
Jamie and Steve driving
well, Terriers had the
platform for further scoring.
Craig Knowles got his
second try after powering
through the defence before
Vics got a consolation
try, Matt Withers and
Darren Cox then combined
for Kris Robinson to dummy
his way through and when
the defence fumbled the
ball Paul Kemp swooped
to score and with one
more conversion from Paul
Rawson terriers were clear
at 14-28. Jamie Love scored
the final try, powering
over from close range.
