Boothtown
once again
only played for 40
minutes, this time it
was a poor first half
with bad
handling and poor tackling
that cost
them dear. Westgate
raced into
a 19-0 half time lead
with Boothtown
never really
troubling the Westgate
defence through the whole
of a forgettable
half.
Much
improved in the second
half, Martin Loughrey
was first
to
score, using his power
to first
knock off the defenders
then take
them over the line
with him. With the fightback
on, Scott
Lindsey played a super
short pass
for Jason Dodd to
do the rest and with
Scott Lindsey's conversion
Terriers trailed only
10-19. Westgate then
applied pressure and
scored two more tries
to finally
take them away but
Boothtown had the last
word, from a scrum the
ball was
swung wide and Jason
Dodd sent Paul Kemp racing
in at the corner.
