DANNY RICHARDSON 1 TRY
GARETH COX 1 TRY

Boothtown started the game well, scoring in the first minute, good drives from the forwards laid the platform for coach Mick Dewhirst to send Jason Dodd away to score from 60 yrds and with Paul Rawson converting Boothtown led 6-0. Undercliffe fought back and they took the lead with two tries before persistence from Dale Brown saw Undercliffe spill the ball and Darren Dewhirst pounced to score, Paul Rawson converted again and Boothtown led 10-12. The end to end play continued and Undercliffe scored again before Jason Dodd lobbed a pass and youngster Danny Richardson finished well to score his second try in two games and that try leveled things at 16-16. Danny Richardson then made a try saving tackle before Jason Dodd set up Gareth Cox who danced his way over for another Boothtown try, Paul Rawson converted again before Undercliffe made it 22-22 at the break with a try just before half time.
The tries continued to flow early in the second half with a Craig Knowles try cancelling out an early Undercliffe score. Boothtown were well in the game but suffered with injuries to three key players due to rough house tactics from the home side and this disjointed the team and Undercliffe took advantage to score two more tries. Boothtown rallied in the face of adversity and once again dale Brown’s persistence led to Trent Ashton barging over to make the score 40-30. The injuries told in the last 10 mins with Undercliffe scoring two further tries to put a more flattering look on the final score.
