Boothtown
were easily beaten by
a much bigger
and physical Stanningley
side. Stanningley
took control
in the first half with
3 tries to lead 16-0 at
half time but with
Ben Mallas and Jason
Dodd on top form, terriers
had their moments but
couldn't force their way
through the
Stanningley defence.
The
second half was much
like the first with Stanningley
using strongarm tactics
to stop Boothtown
scoring but
with the help of several
penalties
for
high tackles, a Jason
Dodd pass
left Luke Charlesworth
lots to do
but he forced his
way over for a deserved
Terriers
try.
Stanningley added another
3 tries and finished
with twelve men after
having a player sent
off for punching.
The young Boothtown side
never gave up despite
the physical approach
from Stanningley.
